Leek

Leeks have been cultivated for over 4,000 years and were especially prized by ancient Egyptians and Romans; not just as food, but also for their supposed medicinal properties. In Wales, the leek is a national symbol and is traditionally worn on St. David’s Day as a badge of pride.
