About ME

Hi, I’m Renske, the person behind all the colourful drawings you’ll find on my website.

For me, illustrating is like a mini holiday for the brain: I get to relax, let my imagination roam free, and turn little sparks of inspiration into vibrant pictures.

It all started during the COVID lockdown, when I was stuck between my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with nothing but time, my Ipad and my imagination.

Food for me isn’t just something you eat. It is culture, memory, and connection. Whenever I travel, it’s the thing I get most excited about (sometimes maybe a little too excited...). My mission is to draw food in a way that’s so colourful and playful you can almost taste it. I want you to feel hungry, curious, and maybe even inspired to try the dish yourself.

So, whether it’s fluffy 호떡 pancakes, sizzling BBQ, or a table full of banchan, I fill my work with bold colours, joyful details, and a pinch of whimsy.
